My story & path

Sara Hawartheh, English-speaking somatic psychologist & bodyworker based in Berlin. Offering holistic care for women around nervous system & trauma work, pelvic care, womb care & womb massage, abdominal massage, bodywork. Supporting women with pelvic pain, postpartum, endometriosis, PCOS, IBS, SIBO, anxiety, burnout, painful menstruation.

Growing up in a small town as an eldest daughter, inbetween cultures, with a thirst for the world. My journey as many, started with pain and fertile mud of the underworld.  Receiving my first bleed, the hormonal changes initiated my first descent, one that lasted for long and cracked me open to a life-long devotion to myself and to others. 

 

Perhaps like you, I had no information or guidance on how to tend to my womanhood.


I walked through majority of my life unequipped to care for what it means to have a cyclical nature and to live in a female body.

All those years of taking hormonal birth control, constant yeast infections, distorted body image, lack of sexual boundaries and disconnection from my cycle took a toll on me.


During my university years, the pain of my womanhood got so loud I could no longer ignore. After many years of visits at different doctors and alternative practitioners & being diagnosed with a handful of different things such as endometriosis & IBS and at the same time left without real answers, something had to change. Once again I took radical responsibility and committed deeply to myself.

 

I have slowly started to remember and reclaim my body, my health, my femininity & my fullness and I vow to continue doing so.​

​I´m here for the woman who is ready to radically say yes to herself, to all or herself. 

About my background, so you can feel me..

One pillar of my work is my degree in clinical psychology, focused on jungian depth psychology and somatic psychology. My classical foundation allows me to have deep understanding of personal & transgenerational trauma, the subconscious realms the nervous system offering me a a wide range of knowledge.

At the beginning of my professional years I´ve spend years working with women of all kinds, from survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, through women living with chronic diseases such as endometriosis, PCOS, IBS and more, followed by working with women working in business environments. The centerpiece of my work organically became the terrain of all of ´her´.

In the last years I have arrived back to the body. My interest turned towards the medicine of touch and I started to incorporate hands-on work, while immersing myself in spaces and trainings in the fields of sacred sexuality, somatics, embodiment & ritual.

Below I´m listing my main professional trainings, always happy to provide further details. Apart from formal education, I have over 7 years of experience as a psychologist and over 2 years of experience as a bodyworker.

 

I immersed myself in several retreats & ceremonies serving female maturation, have elder wise women - such as psychotherapists, osteopaths, coaches & bodyworkers - supporting me.
